Black History Month is important because it recognizes, preserves, and honors the contributions of Black people that have often been ignored, minimized, or erased from mainstream history. Join G.I. Joe’s Living History Museum in celebrating Black History Month February 15th, at 2:30pm.

G.I. Joe’s is a local museum of military pictures and related items. From day one we thought of it as a bridge. We want it to be a connecting bridge between Lenoir County veterans and their local community. A place where space was offered for recognition and reflection and camaraderie.

7th annual Stew and Brew happening on Saturday

The seventh annual Stew & Brew fundraiser held by GI Joe’s Military Living History Museum is selling advanced discounted tickets for Eastern Carolina Fish Stew for $10 and can be purchased at GI Joe’s Military Living History Museum, Mother Earth Brewing Tap Room, and Big Game Brewing. The event will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with same-day tickets for sale for $15.
