KPD: LaGrange man arrested after assaulting and threatening McDonalds employees

KPD’s C-Squad officers were dispatched to McDonald’s, located at 110 W. Vernon Avenue, in reference to a disturbance.
While officers were responding, dispatchers advised that the suspect had assaulted an employee and was threatening to shoot multiple employees.
When officers arrived, they observed a shirtless male, identified as 24-year-old Arkim Pender of LaGrange, attempting to climb through the drive-thru window.
Pender fled on foot after seeing officers. Officers pursued Pender and were ultimately able to take him into custody. Officers did not locate a firearm during the arrest.
Pender was transported to the Lenoir County Jail and charged with:
- Resisting a Public Officer
- Assault on a Female
- Second-Degree Trespass
- Communicating Threats (4 Counts)
