Obituary: Robert (Bobby) Ray Dail
Robert (Bobby) Ray Dail, Jr., 86, of Deep Run passed away at home in the afternoon hours of Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Sowers officiating. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandgather, brother, and friend. Bobby loved with his whole heart. He would do anything in his power for anyone, family, neighbors, friends, even those he just met. He adored his grandkids, he loved them beyond measure, and they knew it. He loved his dogs, and was often referred to as a "dog whisperer" because every dog he was ever around took to him, minded him, and he loved it. He worked in construction, doing pipe fitting, welding and anything else that was needed up until his retirement. He loved being out in his yard gardening, talking to his neighbors, and simply taking in the sunlight.
He is survived by his daughter Wendy Dillon and husband Keith, daughter Angel Dail, son Rob Dail and wife Kimberly, daughter in law Candice Dail, grandchildren Leanna Benson and husband Andy, Heather Viera and husband Josue, Rebecca Mejia and husband Kevin, Natalie Dail, Chloe Dail, Katie Dillon, Ray Dail, great-grandchildren Enzo Mejia, Willow Viera, Iris Mejia, Stephanie Benson, and Bethany Benson, sister Jean Maguire, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his loving dogs Sam, Lucky, and Toby.
