‘Footloose’ Cast Brings Family, Faith and Redemption to the LCC Stage

Footloose showcases an unforgettable cast of adults who bring empathy, conviction, and emotional depth to the stage, laying the foundation of the story with powerful performances that explore family, faith, and redemption. 

The show, directed by Lenoir Community College’s Jessica Cruz, will take place July 17-19 and July 24-26, 2026, at LCC in the Briley Auditorium on the Turner Stage. This production is part of the LCC Foundation Performing Arts Series. Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/lccfpa. Ticket prices: accessible seating $15.00, orchestra seating $20.00, standard seating $15.00, and student standard seating (ages 4–17; 18+ student ID required) $10.00.

Meet the cast members who keep the little town of Bomont afloat. 

Jim Grant portrays Reverend Shaw Moore with conviction, strength, and quiet authority. Making his debut with LCCFPA, Grant is an NC-based music director and arts leader. His regional music directing credits include The Bridges of Madison CountyThe Phantom of the OperaOliver!9 to 5, and Nunsense and performance credits include Raoul (The Phantom of the Opera), Snoopy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), and Professor Callahan (Legally Blonde).

Amanda K. Hudson takes on the role of Vi Moore, bringing warmth, compassion, and unwavering support to the heart of the Moore family. As the Business Services Coordinator for several ECU arts programs and a former New York City performer, Hudson is thrilled to be part of such a vibrant creative community.

Amanda Pumphrey makes her LCCFPA debut as Ethel McCormack, capturing the character's independence, resilience, and understated humor. She has performed throughout North Carolina, Florida, and Texas, with favorite roles including Fiona in Shrek, Cassie in A Chorus Line, and Cathy in The Last Five Years.

Aaron Williams is performing in his seventh show with LCCFPA as Principal Clark, portraying the school's steadfast leader with integrity and authority. Recent roles include Rudolph in Hello, Dolly!, Count Ipolitov in Anastasia, and Man 1 in Songs for a New World

Micheal McGann steps into the role of Coach Roger Dunbar, bringing determination, discipline, and intensity to Bomont's dedicated coach. Audiences may recognize him from his previous LCCFPA performance as Count Vlad Popov in Anastasia, and he is excited to tackle this new role.

Rebecca McGann portrays Eleanor Dunbar with grace, composure, and a firm sense of conviction. She previously appeared as Woman 3 in Songs for a New World and as Elsa in The Sound of Music, and is delighted to return to the LCCFPA stage.
