Deep Run Man Arrested for Methamphetamine Following Traffic

On June 18, 2026, at approximately 8:37 a.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department's B-Squad conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Plaza Boulevard and North Queen Street.

During the stop, officers made contact with the driver, 36-year-old Robert Held Jr. of Deep Run. While speaking with officers, narcotics-related violations were observed.

A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a marijuana.

Held was arrested and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was held under a secured bond on the following charges:

- Possession of Methamphetamine

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

- Possession of Marijuana (Up to 1/2 Ounce)

- Two Counts of Order for Arrest (Unrelated)
