Disturbing Video Prompts Investigation by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident connected to a video that was recently shared on the Word of Mouth Kinston Facebook page. In a statement released Thursday, Sheriff Jackie Rogers said detectives are actively investigating the matter and are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the sheriff’s office. No additional details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
The sheriff’s statement is provided below:
”We are aware of the disturbing video that was recently posted on Word of Mouth Kinston. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division is actively investigating the incident.
At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released. We ask anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office.
As always, we are committed to thoroughly investigating all reported criminal activity and ensuring the safety of our community.”
