Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest

On July 7, 2026, at approximately 8:47 a.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department's B-Squad conducted a traffic stop on NC Highway 11 for a registration violation.

After the traffic stop was completed, the driver, 26-year-old Zaquarai Collier, consented to a search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Collier was arrested and transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was charged with:

- Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine

- Maintaining a Vehicle

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
