Help Wanted: Public Health Nursing
As a member of the Lenoir County Government Health Department, you can make an impact! The Health Department is seeking candidates for several levels of Public Health Nursing within the Health program. Candidates in this class will care for entire population of Lenoir County. Working with the community as a whole allows public health nurses to help educate the community about health issues that can improve their health and safety and facilitate access to care. The role of a public health nurse focuses on prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health, and maintenance of the health of populations. Employees in this classification serve as a resource to patients and community partners.

Minimum Requirements:
โข Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing/one year of experience
โข License/Certification required by North Carolina Board of Nursing
โข Possess considerable knowledge of nursing theory, practices, principles, and techniques
โข Possess a valid North Carolina Driverโs License
โข Pass a background check
