On May 9, 2026, officers with the Kinston Police Departmentโs A-Squad responded to a report of four suspects breaking into a building located at 834 Hardee Road. The caller advised that the suspects were actively defacing the building with paint.
Upon arrival, officers located two individuals identified as 21-year-old Victor Torres of Camp Lejeune and 20-year-old Angel Martinez of Camp Lejeune. Both Torres and Martinez had red paint on their hands and were found in possession of burglary tools.
While officers continued searching the area, two additional suspects exited the building and fled toward the Caswell Center property. K9 Knox was deployed and conducted a track that led officers directly to the suspects. Upon observing K9 Knox tracking toward them, both suspects surrendered without further incident.
With assistance from the Caswell Center Police Department, 20-year-old Joshua Son of Camp Lejeune and 21-year-old Isaac Reyna of Camp Lejeune were taken into custody.
Command staff at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune was notified of the arrests.
