Two Arrested in Larceny Investigation Involving Stolen Vehicle and Trailer

On March 19, 2026, deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3150 Kelly Road in Kinston in reference to the felony larceny of an enclosed trailer. On April 7, 2026, deputies were again dispatched to the same location in reference to the larceny of a motor vehicle.

On April 11, 2026, A-Shift deputies located the stolen vehicle on Old Pink Hill Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Joshua Blake Gross (36) of Albertson, was taken into custody. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reduction Team (CRT) and Street Crimes and Rapid Response (SCARR) units assisted with the investigation. Detectives with the General Investigations Division obtained a search warrant in Duplin County.

With assistance from the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed the warrant at 321 Outlaw Place in Albertson, where the stolen enclosed trailer was recovered.

The following charges were filed:

Joshua Blake Gross:
Larceny of a Motor Vehicle (F) x2, Possession of Stolen Goods (F) x2, Felony Conspiracy x2, Alter/Remove Serial Number (F), Alter/Dest/Ect Stolen Motor Vehicle/Part (F).

William Jordan Bailey:
Larceny of a Motor Vehicle (F) x2, Possession of Stolen Goods (F) x2, Felony Conspiracy x2, Alter/Remove Serial Number (F), Alter/Dest/Ect Stolen Motor Vehicle/Part (F).

On April 18, 2026, Bailey was arrested by the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to LCSO. He was not given a bond due to being on pre-trial release.

Warrants remain outstanding for Gross.
