EPIC Center’s Walk 4 Life and 5K Returns to Kinston April 18
Pancakes, Face Painting, and a 5K for Life: Join Kinston’s Most Meaningful Morning This Saturday, April 18th at Lenoir Community College.
The EPIC Center invites the community to come together for its annual Walk 4 Life & 5K on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 8:00 AM at Lenoir Community College in Kinston.
This family-friendly event is designed for everyone, from experienced runners to casual walkers. Participants can choose to run the 5K or simply walk the course at their own pace, making it a welcoming and meaningful experience for all ages and fitness levels.
Registration is still open, and community members are encouraged to sign up and be part of a powerful morning supporting women, children, and families in Eastern North Carolina.
In addition to the race, the event will feature a fun and festive atmosphere for the whole family. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including a kids’ area, bubble station, and face painting by Shyla’s Face Painting. Rezzy’s Pancake Truck will also be on-site serving delicious pancakes, breakfast bowls, coffee, and juice, making it the perfect way to start the day.
“This event is more than just a race, it’s a chance for our community to come together, have fun, and make a real impact,” said Executive Director Emma Barnes. “Every step taken helps support women and families with the resources and care they need to raise healthy thriving children.”
Special thanks to the event’s Champion of Life Sponsors: Emmanuel Baptist Church, 902 Church, InJoy Thrift Store, and the Family of Ruby S. Griffin, whose generous support helps make this event possible.
Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, there is something for everyone at this inspiring community event.
