KPD: Trespassing Call at McDonald’s Leads to Arrest

On March 24, 2026, officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to McDonald’s on Vernon Avenue in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store manager, who advised that a male subject inside the business had been asked multiple times to leave but refused.

Officers identified the individual as 38-year-old Henri Frizzell. Officers advised Frizzell that the property manager wanted him to leave the restaurant. Frizzell initially complied and began walking toward the exit, but then turned around and attempted to return to his seat.

Officers then attempted to take Frizzell into custody for trespassing. During the arrest, Frizzell physically resisted and assaulted two officers. After a brief struggle, officers were able to place Frizzell into custody. While being escorted to a patrol vehicle, Frizzell continued to resist and wrapped his legs around a parking lot post before ultimately being secured in the vehicle.

Frizzell was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was held under a secured bond for the following charges:

- Second Degree Trespass

- Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer (2 counts)

- Resisting, Obstructing, and Delaying

- Injury to Personal Property

The photo attached to this release is an older booking photo. Frizzell has refused to comply with jail staff, and an updated photograph has not been obtained at this time.
