Obituary: William “Bill” Francis Russell
William “Bill” Francis Russell died on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Kinston, NC. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Bill was a native of Greenville, TN, and attended East Tennessee State University and served in the National Guard.
He lived most of his life in Kinston while working at Carolina Tobacco Co., until his retirement. A devoted brother, Bill had many valued friends who were like family to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathryn Russell, and a brother, Richard Russell. He is survived by his sister, Linda Disney; and several nieces and nephews.
