Virginia Rogers

La Grange-Virginia Lee Reynolds Rogers, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Virginia was born in Jones County to the late Bryce and Rosa Jarman Reynolds on November 11, 1938. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Rogers; second husband, Jim Benners; and sister, Dorothy Jones.
Living a life filled with love, kindness, and quiet faith, Virginia’s joy was found in the bonds of family. She made it a priority to be present for every milestone and gathering. Especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, time spent with them brought her the greatest blessings.
Possessing a gentle spirit and a pleasant demeanor, Virginia was always sweet, never having a harsh word to say about anyone. She lived her life putting others before herself, guided by a heart full of love and a steady faith.
Finding joy in the simple pleasures of life, Virginia loved loved bird watching, working puzzles, and spending time outdoors tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler. She had a well-known fondness for a good, cold Pepsi-Cola, and her family knew no substitutes would do.
A service of love and remembrance will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Ward officiating. The family will receive friends in the hour prior to service.
A graveside committal officiated by Rusty Alphin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Virginia is survived by her children, Patsy Smith and husband, Rodney, Charlie Rogers and wife, Becky, and Jimmie Rogers and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Tonya Rouse and husband, Brandon, Brittany Smith and husband, Brandon, and Cody Rogers and wife, Abby; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Noah, Paxton, Ava, Raelyn, Everett, Cash, and Miller Kate; and sisters, Hester Taylor, Peggy Mewborn, and Clara Shirey.
