Inmate Charged with Drug and Contraband Offenses

Morgan Williams was brought to the Lenoir County Detention Center by Probation and Parole on December 29, 2025, on a parole violation.

While Williams was housed at the Lenoir County Jail, information was received indicating she was in possession of Suboxone and distributing the controlled substance within the facility. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division assisted jail staff with the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Morgan Williams was charged with the following offenses:

  • One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance on Prison/Jail Premises

  • Five counts of Providing Contraband to an Inmate

Williams remains in custody and is being held without bond due to her pending commitment to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction. Upon completion of her sentence, she will be returned to Lenoir County to have a bond set on these charges.
