Local author Ray Thigpen releases debut book

Local author Ray Thigpen has released his debut book, Doing What You Know: Breaking Through the Invisible Barrier, a practical guide to overcoming fear, self-sabotage, and the invisible barriers that hold people back from reaching their potential.

Drawing on more than 40 years of entrepreneurial experience, Thigpen blends personal stories, mentorship lessons, and biblical principles to show readers how to take consistent action on what they already know they should be doing.

“Most people don’t need more information,” Thigpen says. “They need the breakthrough that gets them to finally act on what they know. This book is about tearing down that invisible wall.”

Thigpen, a lifelong entrepreneur and certified pickleball instructor in Kinston, is also hosting the 100K Reader Challenge, with a mission to get the book into the hands of 100,000 readers by December 31, 2025. Doing What You Know is available on Amazon and through bookstores nationwide. For more information, visit www.doingwhatyouknow.com.
