Veteran mindset coach releases breakthrough book on mental strength and sustainable progress

What if the key to your next breakthrough isn’t grinding harder, but thinking differently?

Tah’Ron Cannon

That question fuels Committed: Tap Into The Mindset That Fuels Progression, the powerful debut book from combat veteran, keynote speaker, and mindset coach Tah’Ron “Coach” Cannon. Released as part of Men’s Mental Health Awareness MonthCommitted is more than a book—it’s a call to transformation for anyone stuck in survival mode.

In Committed, Cannon shares a dark chapter of his life—wrestling with PTSD, depression, identity loss, and suicidal ideation—and how one therapist and one mindset shift helped him move from broken to bold. From that transformation came The Committed Mindset, a framework to help others shift from spiraling to stepping into purpose.

“I wrote this for the version of me that looked fine on the outside but was fractured inside,” says Cannon. “For the ones still standing—but barely. For anyone trapped in cycles they can’t break, this book is the next step forward.”

Through unflinching storytelling and actionable guidance, Committed helps readers:

  • Break destructive cycles and build daily, measurable progress

  • Apply the C5 Framework—Cause, Compensation, Complications, Chip-ins, and Choices—to set and reach goals

  • Embrace the five key principles: Awareness, Gratitude, Optimism, Resilience, and Kaizen

  • Understand the difference between being casual and being committed

  • Build inner strength through character, courage, confidence, and community

Whether you're battling inconsistency, emotional burnout, or silent spiritual disconnect, Committed meets you where you are—and walks with you toward who you’re meant to be.

This is not another self-help book. It’s a guide for real progress.

This book is for:

  • Veterans and men navigating mental health and identity

  • Leaders who serve boldly in public but suffer in silence privately

  • Anyone ready to stop spiraling and start living fully committed
