Careline Medical Transport to Host 1st Annual Cookoff & Family Fun Day

Careline Medical Transport to Host 1st Annual Cookoff & Family Fun Day

Careline Medical Transport is inviting the community to its 1st Annual Cookoff & Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 28, at 108 W. King Street in Kinston.

The event will feature live music, fried fish, and five whole hogs prepared for the community. Families are encouraged to attend for food, fellowship, and fun. Eating begins at 12:00 p.m., and cookoff judging will start at 1:00 p.m. The five teams that are cooking are Kinston Fire and Rescue, Kinston Police Department, Lenoir County Emergency Services, Lenoir County Sheriffs Office, and Careline Medical Transport.

Aaron Reaves, CEO of Careline Medical Transport, said the event is about giving back.

“We’re hosting this to give back to the community that gave us a chance. I hope to build more relationships with people in need of transportation and let first responders know that we’re here to assist in any way we can,” Reaves said.

Reaves emphasized that Careline wants the community to know how to reach them if transportation assistance is ever needed.

“We’re here to support the needs of those requiring transportation and to make sure they know how to contact us when the time comes.”

Careline encourages everyone to “come hungry, leave happy” and enjoy what promises to be one of the tastiest community events of the year.
