Obituary: Robert Vernon Dail
Robert Vernon Dail, 86, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
The family will receive friends at the home of Henry after the graveside service which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
Vernon was a long-time resident of Kinston, born September 10, 1938. He was a well-known plumber and landlord in the Kinston area. He enjoyed traveling in his camper anywhere he could go. Vernon also loved his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susann Dail.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Henry Dail and wife, Becky; son, Eugene Dail and friend, Connie; step-daughters, Denise Taylor and husband, Blaney; Dora Scherer and husband, Jessie; Lisa Smith and husband, Frankie; Lois Ann Avery (deceased); grandchildren, Taylor Perry and husband, Daniel; step-grandchildren, Brandon Brown; Brittany Lewis; Chris Taylor; Cynthia Braxton; Justin Brown; Kayla Scherer; Tiffany Redfearn; Megan Flickinger; Reed Clark; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to those who cared for Vernon as if he was their own: Delores Royal and Mary Bizzell, along with many others.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lenoir County SPCA at 2455 Rouse Road Extension, Kinston, NC 28504.
