Donna Heath

July 28, 1966 – July 22, 2025

Donna Lynn Carter Heath departed this life on July 22, 2025, just six days shy of her 59th birthday. Born on July 28, 1966, in Lenoir County, North Carolina, Donna was the daughter of the late David Barfield and Jessie Williams Barfield.

A dedicated employee of Caswell Developmental Center, Donna served faithfully for as long as her health allowed. Fighting cancer not once, but twice, over several years, Donna was a fighter through it all. Ever brave and determined, she always maintained her grace and dignity.

Sustained in her faith in Jesus Christ, Donna attended New Vision Outreach Ministries. Possessing a great love for her family and friends, her church family was an extension of her own family that she cherished greatly.

For Donna, her family was her everything. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, an excellent mother, and even better grandmother.

A service of love and remembrance will be held by the graveside at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Daly’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Turner officiating.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Steven Earl Heath; her children, Heather Paugh and husband Luther, and Tanner Walton; her favorite granddaughter, Olivia Paugh; siblings, Donald Rhodes (Lisa) and Faye Sims (Walter); nieces and nephews, Amanda Hughes, Jeffrey Rhodes, Julie Sims, John Sims, Christian Heath, and Elijah Heath; mother- and father-in-law, Joyce and Wilbert Earl Heath; and brothers-in-law, Rodney Heath (Tiffany) and Greg Heath (Susan).
