Lenoir County sex offender arrested for registration violations
On Thursday, July 10th, a registered sex offender was arrested in Lenoir County for failing to report a change of address, as required by law.
Shawn Tucker, 44, was taken into custody by Patrol’s A Shift following an investigation conducted by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office General Investigations Division that began in June. During the investigation, detectives also discovered that Tucker had provided false information on his sex offender registration form.
Tucker was charged with failure to notify of address change and providing false information during registration. He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail and given a $25,000 secured bond.
