Walmart larceny call leads to methamphetamine arrest in Kinston
On December 7, 2025, at approximately 9:24 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s A-Squad were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a larceny.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with Loss Prevention, who had 32-year-old Benjamin Lee of New Bern, NC detained. During a search of Lee, officers located approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine.
Lee was arrested without incident and charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Larceny
