Obituary: Troni Faye Baker

Our mom, Troni Faye Baker, went to her forever home to reunite with her husband Tuffy on Friday, October 24th, 2025. She passed surrounded by the love of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Troni’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a service beginning at 2:00PM.

Our mom was full of life and kept us on our toes. She loved her family, pets, and friends with every ounce of her little petite self. All her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren got her love of music, dancing, decorating for all holidays, and all things outdoors from her.

She has been reunited in Heaven with her soulmate, Cleveland “Tuffy” Baker Jr.; her mother, Josephine Tomlinson; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Troni will forever remain in the hearts of her family here on earth. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Hawkins of Dover; Freida Stinnett of Virginia; children, Rhonda and Justin Wright of LaGrange, Tammy and BJ Jones of Snow Hill, Jesseca (David) Cash of Kinston; 10 grandchildren she adored, Robb (Morgan) Harrell, Reed (Misty) Harrell, Ryan (Ashley) Harrell, Kayla (Robbie) Matthews, Storm (Skarlett) Jones, Chase (Leah) Jones, Josh Deans, Skylar Jones, Luke Matthews, Cierra (Hunter) Jones; 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her best friend and loving neighbor, Beverly Jones.
