Obituary: Naomi Creech Corbin

La Grange – Naomi Creech Corbin finished her course on this earth on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lenoir County to the late Tyson Creech and Laurah Howell Creech. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ray Corbin; her grandson, Jason Corbin; and her brother, Warren Creech.

Naomi was a devoted and loving mother. Her children took priority in her life and she gave them of all she had. She always wanted to make sure they knew they were loved and cared for. Her grandchildren held an equally important part of her heart. She loved to watch them grow and succeed.

God was always first in Naomi’s life, above all else. Her church and church family were very important to her. La Grange Christian Church was home for her and she loved to use her gifts and talents there for the Lord.

One of Naomi’s most enduring traits was her honesty. She was to the point and all knew where they stood with her. But this came from a place of love for her. She was a stern woman but also full of compassion for others. She taught her children the value of respect and hard work. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, her church, and her dear friends.

A service to celebrate Naomi’s life will be held in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home on Thursday, February 8, 2024, 6:00 pm. The family will receive visitors in the hour prior to the service. A private committal will be held at a later date.

Naomi is survived by her children, Sharon Corbin Pridgen (Gary), Rob Corbin, Ron Corbin (Donna), and Scott Corbin (Heather); grandchildren, Amber Johnson (Eric), Lisa Daniels, Rayna Corbin, Robyn Corbin (Helynn Hallock), Heather Wallace, Jacob Corbin and Olivia Corbin; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lilly, Jayden, Tyler, Miles, Corbin, and Emma; and sister-in-law, Frances Creech.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the La Grange Christian Church in Naomi’s memory.

Online condolences can be made at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange, NC.
