Obituary: Lester Eugene Taylor

Lester Eugene Taylor , “Gene”, 89, passed away peacefully and is now united with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Willie and Eva Taylor; sister, Eloise T. Taylor and brothers, Dalton, Jack, Mack, and Bill Taylor.

He is survived by his brother, Willard Taylor; nieces, Sherry Taylor, Beverly Humphrey and Glenda Lancaster; nephews, Keith, Dennis, Gary, Perry, Marty, Scott and Wally Taylor.

Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and talking about the family history. He also enjoyed spending time with his “Bojangles friends”.

Mr. Taylor’s homegoing service will be at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with visitation to follow. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Taylor Family Cemetery on Nobles Mill Road, Deep Run.
