Most gracious Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, we make this petition to you on behalf education. Proverbs 18:15 (ESV) states “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” Lord we ask for your bountiful blessings of wisdom, peace, joy, patience, mercy and compassion for the teachers and students in secondary and post-secondary education.  We ask for an increase of these bountiful blessings specifically for the times in which we live.  We lift up to you all educational administrators and school boards. We ask you to give these individuals the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding needed to make sound decisions in the best interest of students, staff, and faculty.  We pray for a financial increase in all areas where additional funding is needed. Lord, help students, teachers, administration and governing boards understand the importance of committing their work and their ways as unto you.

We pray Lord for every child who struggles with learning and we ask you to make learning easy for them. We pray you would make the materials and lessons presented to them clear and concise.  Lord, we ask for the joy of learning to be restored to students who are discouraged by their progress.  Restore hope in situations where academic success appears to be out of reach. We ask that you give every teacher the wisdom and foresight to recognize the needs and potential of each individual student. Lord, we pray for the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of all students and educational employees and we ask you to restore the passion, excitement and joy of teaching and learning among faculty and students.

We pray for the parents of our students and ask you to grant them the patience, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding needed to help facilitate learning while being the best advocate for their child. Lord we pray for all students in the class of 2020. In this season, they are presented with an unusual set of circumstances leaving them disappointed and sad about not being able to physically enjoy the last moments of their high school and college experiences.  God, we ask that you simply make good out of a seemingly bad situation, that you would provide light in the midst of what seems to be dark and hope in what appears to be hopeless. Finally, we pray for safety and protection over all institutions of learning. May a heavenly host of angel’s guard and keep every classroom, office, playground, gymnasium, and all other aspects of educational facilities. We ask all of these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
