Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina, Inc. (GIENC®) will hold a Community Outreach Event Fri., July 19 at its Kinston store at 4190 W. Vernon Ave. The event will include free medical screenings and dental care (via Baptists on Mission), free legal aid (via Legal Aid of North Carolina), a pay-what you can mobile food market (via Ripe for Revival), and free STEAM educational experiences (via GIENC’s mobile STEAM lab)

Melba Gentry Alcock Ingles, 94, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at her home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

EDPNC International Trade Division visits Kinston

The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina's (EDPNC) International Trade Division held an event at Lenoir Community College's Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center to assist local businesses with exporting their products and services. The event, part of EDPNC's annual outreach program, brought trade experts and resources directly to the local community.

Elizabeth Marie Price of Kinston, NC passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2024. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 19, at 11am at Bethel FWB Church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
