KPD's B-Squad responded to the 400 block of East Gordon Street for a report of a vehicle crash involving a dirt bike and a ATV. Officer arrived on scene and the investigation revealed that both the dirt bike and the ATV were being driven recklessly on the roadway.
Albert Nanevie of Kinston was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

KPD's C-Squad observed several ATV's riding in the park at Georgia K Battle. The drivers fled the area once they observed they officers. Joseph Allen Wade, 27, was arrested today following a months-long investigation by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office detectives. They were notified of a report of sexual allegations from the Onslow County Department of Social Services on March 8 involving a juvenile victim that occurred in Lenoir County. The reported incident occurred during May 2021 and August 2022.
