Help wanted: Lenoir County Government Transit Department - Part-time Dispatcher

As a member of the Lenoir County Government Transit Department, you can make a difference! The Transit Department is seeking candidates for a Part-time Dispatcher. Candidates work involves performing scheduling and communication work for vehicle operators. In cases of disaster, either natural or man-made, an employee may be called upon to serve the citizens of Lenoir County. Candidates for employment must be comfortable with the delivery of public and human service transportation services. Employees in this classification must be familiar with general administrative duties, and voice radio communication equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent,

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License and must be familiar with Lenoir County roads

• Present a copy of current driving record during interview

• Pass a criminal background check as well as mandatory pre-employment drug screening
