Create your future in Graphics with new online certificates at LCC

Lenoir Community College Graphic Arts program is offering two new online certificates starting this summer semester. The certificates, Graphic & Digital Design and Digital Photo & Design, are created to equip students with the skills and knowledge in digital design, imaging technology, packaging, photography, social media marketing, UX/UI, as well as training in industry-leading Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Meet me Jones County: Beverly Hines, a beacon of community involvement

In Jones County, Beverly Hines stands as a beacon of community involvement and dedication. At 60, Hines' roles span from being a Media Specialist at Jones Senior High School to holding key positions in local organizations, including Secretary at Jones County Community Hope and Secretary of St. Stephen Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. Furthermore, she is the owner of Simply Grants, a testament to her commitment to fostering growth and development within her community.

Six LCPS students accepted to NC Governor's School

“We are very excited for our Governor’s School attendees. This is one the largest groups who have been selected to attend from Lenoir County Public Schools and they represent a wide variety of academic and arts disciplines,” said Amy Jones, who supervises LCPS’s nomination process as director of high school education. Representing LCPS at this summer’s session, along with their field of study and the Governor’s School location, are: Eagan Ballard, Kayla Britt, Lillian Daughety, Madeline Gilmore, Hayden Hall, and Mackenzie Hood.
