KPD responds to altercation involving shots fired; suspect in custody
An early Sunday morning altercation resulted in four victims. One victim was seen at UNC Lenoir Health Care, two were transported from UNC Lenoir to ECU Medical Center, and one arrived at ECU Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Alawisha Fields, 20, has been charged with one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards. Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal. Local Fair Cheerleading Competition results
For the 4th year in a row the North Lenoir Hawks take home 1st place at the Lenoir County Fair. The North Lenoir Hawks also were awarded the “Traveling Skip Waters Trophy” - Overall Champions of the Lenoir County Fair Cheerleading Competition.
