On 10/08/2021 Officers responded to the Gifted Hands Barbershop located at 1500 W. Vernon Ave in regards to an assault. Upon arrival it was determined that three individuals came into the barbershop and assaulted a customer.

In Lenoir County, One-Stop voting sites include Fairfield Recreation Center, La Grange Frink Alumni Association Culture Center, and Teachers Memorial Gym. In Greene County, the location is the Snow Hill Fire Department. In Jones County, early voters will vote at Jones County Board of Elections.
Nearly all 10,000 employees at state-operated healthcare facilities are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and compliant with a mandatory vaccination requirement, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The department’s Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF), a state-operated health care system comprised of 14 facilities, moved to mandatory COVID-19 vaccination in July.
