Public's assistance requested to find missing man
David “Dave” Lee Roseby, 68, was last seen in the La Grange area by family members on Aug. 15. He is 5-foot, 4-inches tall, has grey close-cut hair and a grey mustache. He frequently wears a baseball cap and is likely wearing apparel with the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL logo on it.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest
Officers on C-Squad conducted a traffic stop with Seth Griffin (22) related to a Driving While Impaired investigation. The investigation lead to Griffin's arrest for Driving While Impaired and Possession of Methamphetamine. In addition, he was also cited for additional traffic offenses. Griffin was placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond.
Lenoir County Board of Election delivers verdict on Pink Hill candidacy challenge
The Lenoir County Board of Elections convened its regular meeting on September 7, 2023, at the Elections Office, as part of their monthly schedule of meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 5 pm. The board members include Courtney M. Patterson (Chairman), Ella Clark (Secretary), Tommy Pharo, Marietta Jenkins, and Lucinda Minges.
Mayor Deatherage challenges opponent Mike Horne's candidate eligibility
On August 17th, current Pink Hill Mayor Yvonne Deatherage, who was appointed by the town commissioners to replace Mike Hill, filed a formal complaint with the Lenoir County Board of Elections challenging the mayoral candidacy of Michael Horne. The Board of Elections is scheduled to meet on Thursday, September 7 at 5:00 pm at the Elections Office.
Man arrested on 14 felony charges
A Dudley man was arrested today on 14 felony charges and placed in the Lenoir County Jail in response to multiple larceny and breaking-and-entering incidents at area sweepstakes businesses. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has been actively investigating the incidents since late July.
North Lenoir Fire & Rescue Firefighters awarded Medal of Valor
RALEIGH, NC - Four members of North Lenoir Fire & Rescue were awarded the Medal of Valor by the North Carolina State Firefighter’s Association (NCSFA) for their actions at a deadly explosion in La Grange in June of 2022. The awards were presented at the 136th Annual Meeting and Banquet of the NCSFA in Raleigh on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
