KPD is attempting to identify the vehicle in the photo below. It was involved in a felonious hit and run (vehicle vs pedestrian). The pedestrian was was walking on E Shine Street when vehicle struck him/her. The pedestrian was transported to UNC Lenoir for non-life threatening injuries.

Asher Willis has officially become the full owner of The Right Angle located at 210 N Herritage St. The transition of ownership was led by a determination to keep the framing shop alive by both Willis and his predecessor, Jess Edwards, who had purchased the building in 2017 and kept the frame shop thriving.
Chris has been found safe in a home in Jason, in Greene County. Sheriff Rogers would like to thank everyone who helped in the search.
The search for 19-year-old Shawn Christopher “Chris” Arndt-Spikes continues today in La Grange. Chris, who is autistic and non-verbal, was reported missing Sunday night around 8:30 to Lenoir County authorities.

Officers on C-Squad encountered Marlake Velez on E Lenoir Avenue. During the encounter, Velez fled from officers. Officers were able apprehend Velez shortly after a foot pursuit behind a residence on E Lenoir Avenue.
