NWS: Potentially significant thunderstorms possible Thursday

Severe thunderstorms, potentially significant, are possible Thursday afternoon into evening. There is quite a bit of uncertainty at this time, as much will depend on how any morning showers or clouds act to disrupt instability for the afternoon hours.

However, the potential for significant severe thunderstorms is certainly on the table given unusually high wind shear values for this time of year.
