Trillium Health Resources is delivering 1,000 gun locks to all Departments of Social Services (DSS) within our 28-county region. They will be distributed to families who own firearms along with education about gun safety.
Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office K9 Ziva has received a bullet and stab protective vest, thanks to a charitable donation from nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Ziva’s vest was sponsored by Christopher Campanale of North Kingstown, RI and embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.”
The Woodington Raiders have raised a whopping $3,881 for the American Heart Association this year. This total was made possible by the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who participated in the fundraising efforts.

Drivers on Hill Farm Road may have noticed traffic islands on their daily commute. The islands are in preparation for an all-way stop that will be implemented at that intersection this week.
