New traffic islands added to Hill Farm Road ahead of all-way stop implementation

Drivers on Hill Farm Road may have noticed traffic islands on their daily commute. The islands are in preparation for an all-way stop that will be implemented at that intersection this week. The attached graphic illustrates how the road will look as of Wednesday. Left turns are not being eliminated.

"The new traffic pattern will make the intersection safer and more efficient," said Lauren Haviland, Communications Officer for Divisions 2 and 3. NC Department of Transportation.
