North Carolina jobs and GDP economy fully recovered to pre-pandemic levels in 2021

North Carolina’s economy fully returned to the employment level it enjoyed before the COVID-19 pandemic sent the world into an economic recession, state economists said Monday. The state’s economy recovered to pre-pandemic employment levels in July of 2021 and the GDP even earlier, and the state’s economy continues to grow despite concerns of inflation and high gas prices.

Lenoir County Historical Association hosts reverse drawing

The Lenoir County Historical Association will be hosting their annual reverse drawing event on Friday, March 18th 2022. There are 500 printed tickets available for $20 which includes a meal and a chance to win eight giveaways of $20-$100, and a final giveaway of $1000. The drive thru dinner plate pick up begins at 5:30 pm while the drawing begins at 7:00pm.

Gas prices highest ever on record

North Carolina has reached an all time high with the price of gas due to inflation and the Russian-Ukraine conflict. According to AAA, the national average has not been this high since July 2008 and could increase further over the next week.
