Two Lenoir Community College graphic students, Gregory Cox and Jonah Daniels, were recently awarded scholarships from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA). PICA is an industry association dedicated to protecting and promoting the common interest of the printing industry, and helping their members prosper, both individually and collectively, through fellowship, education, and cooperative action.
Preparations are in full swing and Lenoir County 4-H is excited to bring Embryology curriculum into 25 classrooms in Lenoir County this year.

Earlier this month, the Greene County Middle School (GCMS) Jr. BETA Club attended the North Carolina State Junior BETA Convention. This was the fifth time the club has taken part at the convention, with the past two years virtual.
The Juntos program at Greene Central High School continues to grow and now looks to help make an impact on the national level. The program works to unite community partners to provide Hispanic students and their parents with knowledge, skills, and resources to make college a family goal.
Lenoir Community College was honored Thursday with the visit of El Centro Hispano. “We had a great and productive time learning from each other and discussing ideas to work together to better serve our Hispanic/Latino/Latinx students and their community,” said LCC Workforce Development and Latino Programs Associate Dean Carlos Cotto.

The Lenoir Community Foundation is announcing its Cultural and Performing Arts Series for 2023 with the first production of Loves Bites, an evening of anti-romance at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 in the William I. The Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant Organization is pleased to announce the 2023 pageant will be held February 25 at Kinston Lenoir County Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. Reid Taylor will serve as director for the 44th year. Mandy Odom is the choreographer and Diane Howard serves as Pageant Chairperson.
