On Monday, January 15, 2019, just before 9:30 pm, officers of the Kinston Police Department responded to a call of a gunshot victim. The investigation reveals that Quantae Dixon, age 23 of Kinston, was shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle which was parked in the area of the 900 Block of Doctors Drive in Kinston.

On October 9, 2018, an arrest warrant was issued for Terrance Desha Epps Jr. of LaGrange, NC for First Degree Murder. Later in the evening, Terrance Desha Epps Jr. turned himself in to the Pitt County Sherriff’s Office where he was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.
