Kinston Police and the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspect attempting to break into a gun safe at Walmart on Feb. 2. Officers quickly arrested Anthony Wooten, 24, who now faces multiple charges.

Lenoir County man charged with DWI after being involved in a vehicle crash

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services today announced the Food and Nutrition Services program has expanded participation in the FNS Online Purchasing Program from seven retailers to 11. FNS recipients can access these 11 retailers online to make food purchases with their Electronic Benefit Transfer cards.

The Kinston Walmart has closed entry to the Lawn & Garden and Home & Pharmacy sections. All customers must enter through the Market section on the west side of the front entrance.
