How to know your vote counted in North Carolina

North Carolina elections officials wish to remind Election Day voters that it may take a few weeks before their “voter history” is updated to reflect their recent vote in their voter record available through the State Board of Elections’ Voter Search tool. The State Board of Elections and county boards of elections are inundated with questions from voters about whether their ballot was counted in the 2020 general election. In almost every single case, the answer will be yes.

This coming Sunday, June 14, is Flag Day, the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777, when the Continental Congress sanctioned a flag for the brand-new United States of America. It was this flag, during the war of 1812, that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star-Spangled Banner, when our massive flag flew triumphantly atop Baltimore's Fort McHenry after U.S. soldiers withstood a 25-hour bombardment by British warships.

Two items today. First, intelligence has revealed that planned attacks against U.S.  interests in Syria and Lebanon were what brought about the "taking out" of one of the leading anti-American terrorists in the entire world, Qassem Soleimani. Second, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) is introducing legislation to dismiss the impeachment "trial" being pursued by the U.S. House, calling Speaker Pelosi's withholding of the Articles of Impeachment an "Abuse of the Constitution."
