This past Friday I had the opportunity to attend the Open House for Art 105, take a closer look at the art on display and spend some time talking with the artists about their work to learn more about who they are. Truth be told, I was tired from working all day and the call of a cushy couch with a good book was flashing lights in the back of my head, but I wanted to see some new art.

Our featured artist is Maner Nobles, a woman who has had a long, very interesting life and career that has brought her to where she is presently – someone who is finally able to have the time and creativity to devote to painting, one of her first, true loves.
Local resident Seraphim Smith has landed his dream job to become a part of a PBS show. NC Weekend, a show produced by PBS and funded by Visit North Carolina, will feature segments of Smith showcasing different parts of North Carolina.
