A Multi-Agency Taskforce put together an awareness program, held at the Lenoir County Courthouse Atrium to spread the word about Child abuse and Maltreatment locally and statewide. Their goal it to continue sharing information until no child is abused or neglected in this community.
Recovery Court has donated 23 extra-large medication lock boxes to Raising Awareness for the Developmentally Disabled (RADD) to help prevent unintended overdoses in the community. The lock boxes are part of an outreach initiative aimed at improving medication safety in Wayne, Lenoir, and Greene counties.
On Saturday, June 1, Grainger Stadium will host the Challenger Baseball game, starting at 11:00 a.m. The event, organized by RADD, is free and open to the public, encouraging community support for special athletes. Players from the DownEast Wood Ducks will participate alongside RADD players, making it a memorable day of inclusive fun and community spirit.
