Two board members voted that the protest met the required standard, but the motion to advance it failed.

Preliminary Consideration meeting for the Election Protest filed against Kareem Moore and the amended Election Protest filed against Les Lipford will be held Friday, November 14th immediately after Canvass. County Canvass will begin at 11am.
Early voting is officially underway for North Carolina’s 2025 municipal elections. Voters in Lenoir and Greene counties can cast their ballots starting Thursday, Oct. 16, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
