At 2:10 a.m. today, a fire was reported at 2671 Brookwood Rd., Kinston. North Lenoir Fire and Rescue, along with the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department, Hugo Volunteer Fire Department, and the Kinston Department of Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to the scene.
Emergency crews responded to a late-night structure fire along Sharon Church Road in Grifton. According to Capt. Frank White with Hugo Volunteer Fire & Rescue, “We had a firetruck rollover while responding to a structure fire just off Hwy 11. The firetruck rolled up on its side and into the ditch. We had two personnel on the truck. They’ve both been treated and have been sent to UNC Lenoir [Health Care].”
According to UNC Lenoir Health Care, both firefighters have been treated and released.
A fire took place at a house on Tower Hill Road Friday morning, leaving two residents with minor burns. The Kinston Fire Department, as well as Hugo and Southwood’s VFD responded to the blaze
