Early morning fire engulfs Kinston home; no injuries reported

At 2:10 a.m. today, a fire was reported at 2671 Brookwood Rd., Kinston. North Lenoir Fire and Rescue, along with the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department, Hugo Volunteer Fire Department, and the Kinston Department of Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the top two floors of the residence were fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Lenoir County Fire Marshal's Office responded to the scene to conduct an investigation (which remains ongoing), but it is not suspected the fire was intentional.
