Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect in La Grange arson, attempted murder

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of intentionally setting a fire in La Grange this morning.

Deputies have obtained warrants for Charles Edward Sutton, 51, of Lenoir County after investigating an early morning fire at 116 West King Street in La Grange. Investigators were sent to that address a little after 1 a.m. today for a structure fire. While there, deputies collected information that led them to believe the fire was intentionally set.

The LCSO has warrants for Sutton for attempted first degree murder and first degree arson. He is known to drive a light blue 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with North Carolina tags TKF-2676.
