Drug Task Force Investigation Leads to Cocaine Trafficking Arrest

Detectives with the Kinston-Lenoir Drug Task Force initiated an investigation into 43-year-old Jesse Williams for his alleged involvement in the distribution of crack cocaine from a residence on the 500 block of Fields Street.

During the investigation, detectives conducted seven controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Williams between July and September 2026.

On September 23, 2026, detectives with the Kinston-Lenoir Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Kinston Police Department SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at the residence. Williams was taken into custody after attempting to flee from the rear of the residence.

During a search of the residence, detectives located approximately 41 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and $5,200 in U.S. currency.

Williams was arrested and charged with the following:

• Eight counts of Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine

• Eight counts of Felony Maintaining a Dwelling

• Trafficking Cocaine by Possession

• Felony Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine

• Felony Conspiracy to Possess With Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine

This investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
