KPD: Methamphetamine, Concealed Weapons Found During Vehicle Search at Wildlife Boat Ramp

On September 10, 2026, at approximately 9:06 a.m., KPD’s B-Squad responded to the Wildlife Boat Ramp on NC 11-55 after Kinston Fire Department personnel, who were conducting training in the area, reported finding two females inside a vehicle with suspected drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrived and made contact with 18-year-old Victoria Ventura of Snow Hill and 19-year-old Suriel Arevalo of Walstonburg.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a Bowie knife, and additional handmade weapons concealed inside the vehicle.

Ventura was arrested without further incident and charged with:

- Possession of Methamphetamine

- Carrying a Concealed Weapon, two counts

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Arevalo was issued a citation for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
